Why it is worth doing properly

Fascia closes the end of the roof and carries the eavestrough. Soffit closes the underside of the overhang and lets the roof assembly breathe. When either one fails, water and animals get into the roof and the wall behind it, and the repair stops being a roofline job. Because we also frame, side and finish buildings, rot found behind the old soffit can be repaired as part of the same visit.
